Support

Finding support!

Support for phpWebSite is provided on a volunteer basis by various developers and other users within the phpWebSite community. Please keep this in mind when seeking help, and recall that because the program is licensed free of charge, the software is provided as is and there is no warranty.

Please be precise and informative when describing your problem:
  • List all the symptoms of your problem carefully and in chronological order.
  • Describe your environment. Operating system, web server, database, PHP, and phpWebSite configuration - please include version numbers.
  • What have you done to try to solve the problem? What happened?
  • Include a link to a phpinfo() file. If you don't know what this is go to the PHP website and find out.
Also please read the following. Applicable not only here but in life in general:

How To Ask Questions The Smart Way by Eric Raymond & Rick Moen
P.S. Mr. Raymond and Mr. Moen are not associated with phpWebSite or PHP.
Please don't email them questions about either.

Simon Tatham's How to Report Bugs Effectively

Support forums, mailing lists, and bug reporting are are located on Sourceforge. You may also find answers at phpwsForums. Please use these resources when seeking help. There are many people that are part of the phpwebsite community and can help you. As a last resort, you can email the developers, but make sure you have read Raymond's and Tatham's pages before doing so.

Windows Support:

We have many people who use phpWebSite on windows systems with various configurations. We know it does work, however the the core dev team does NOT use windows. We can NOT help with windows problems. For windows help the best place will be the forums on sourceforge not our inbox.
