VersionGuide
The following guide will explain the function of the Version module and how to use it.
What is the Version Module?
The Version Module allows certain other modules in phpWebSite to backup previous versions of your work. This is particularly helpful if you go through and make changes to something (such as a blog) and decide that the original version was better and want to revert.
How do you use the Version Module?
The saved versions of your work will automatically be backed up and accessible through those modules. The only options for the Version Module itself are how many versions can be saved of each project. The default setting is five. If you want fewer or more, you can change that in the Version module. To get to the Version module, first go to your Control Panel and then your Administration tab. From there click on the Version icon.

Once you have selected the Version module, it will look like the screen below. The default number of versions is five, you can use the drop down menu to change the number and then click save changes.

The Version Module, when installed, is automatically integrated into several modules where your work will be backed up each time you make changes. This can keep your work safe from being lost on accident and becoming unrecoverable.
Permissions
All modules have a set of permissions that can be set to allow a user/user group or users/user groups to have different access to each module. These options are available through the User Administration module and you can learn more about permissions in the Permissions Guide. The Version module allows you to give users none or unrestricted permission. If users are given unrestricted permission, they will be able to have full access to the module the same as you do as the site administrator. If they are given no permission, they will not be able to modify the module.
